Reflecting on growth, innovation, and the ventures ahead in 2026

Date:

Dec 25, 2025

Grateful for everyone who built with us this year at Summ.link. Clients, partners, colleagues, friends, and also those who, with just one conversation, one introduction, or one small push, made something happen.

Because here’s what 2025 has taught me again: you never build these things alone.

And yes, I want to give a special mention to the @owasp Community. Not just because it sounds good, but because Security will be critical in 2026. And thanks god, they ask the questions we need to ask when building AI systems that don’t just “work” but are also secure and reliable in a world full of agents, complexity, and risks.

When I look back at 2025, three moments really stand out for me:

1. We grew not just in headcount, but in trust

This year, we had the chance to work with organizations like the National Bank of Belgium and The Federal Police (along with our existing collaborations). And every time, it felt like confirmation: there’s a real need for teams who build data and AI platforms with an obsession for quality, robustness, and “doing it right.”

Not the quick demos. But solutions that stand tall when it really matters.

2. We realized consultancy is changing, and we consciously chose to change with it

2025 was the year when I felt: “Okay… consultancy as we know it is transforming.” Not because consultancy is bad, quite the opposite, but because the future demands something different: teams that not only advise, but also build, take ownership, and let solutions grow.

More than a project. More than a contract. More than a moment.

3. And then Pulse.lab

Maybe this was the most meaningful step of the year.

In 2025, @Pulse.lab really took shape, our venture studio, the place where ideas can grow into products and ventures. Not as a side project. But as a logical extension of what we’ve been doing for years: making complexity tangible, designing systems that work, and creating impact that goes beyond just delivery.

For me, Pulse.lab is proof that building and entrepreneurship don’t have to be separate worlds. They can come from the same core. And that’s exactly what we want to accelerate in 2026.

🔮 And then 2026…

Today, I’m sharing a Christmas tree… but honestly, it’s more of a vision board than just decoration.

Xmas Vision Roadmap Three: Explore our Goals!

This tree is not a classic one. It’s built from digital structures: distributed, connected, dynamic. And if you look closely, you’ll see little “ornaments” throughout the tree: icons representing what we’ll build. That’s no accident. Because 2026 has four very clear ambitions for me.

1. Growing Summ.link, but with focus, not noise

We want to keep building on the reputation that’s already there. More projects we can be proud of. More teams trusting us with their core platforms. More “serious engineering” in data and AI. Not bigger just for the sake of it. Stronger, sharper, and more relevant.

2. CortexIQ (distributed intelligence framework)

We’re building infrastructure that isn’t just linear, but distributed and resilient like a WhatsApp or Discord network. In an era where systems are becoming increasingly autonomous, it’s crucial to have infrastructure that adapts: secure by design, distributed by nature. CortexIQ stands as one of the most exciting building blocks of 2026, not only because of its technical innovation, but also because it sets the foundation for the next evolution of intelligent systems.

CortexIQ is a decentralized Data & AI network that connects nodes in a distributed structure, ensuring data is accessible and interoperable both within a client’s ecosystem and across broader networks. Designed to support agentic AI, the system enables autonomous agents to collaborate, link, and act on connected data in ways that are both efficient and ethical.

Our goal is to create an engine with three core elements:

  1. Decentralized Infrastructure: Ensuring connectivity with all edge devices, wherever they are deployed, be it laptops, smartphones, desktops, advanced devices like Nvidia AGX systems, or even robot in manufacturing. Endless possibilities!

  2. Event-Driven Storage: Capturing all events generated by decentralized edge devices, ensuring that every interaction and data point is stored in a resilient and accessible manner.

  3. Platform for Evolutionary AI Training: A robust platform that supports the training of ML modules using evolutionary AI techniques, all while integrating moral infrastructure. This ensures that the system not only advances technologically, but also adheres to ethical standards aligned with human values. And deploy them on your edge devices.

By weaving these elements together, we’re creating an engine that allows seamless connectivity with edge devices, captures critical events, and empowers local models to be trained using the most advanced, ethically-aligned AI techniques available.

3. Oblify (LegalTech)

Oblify is a contract and risk intelligence platform designed for startups, scale-ups, and SMEs. Our platform empowers legal teams and C-suite executives to visualize contracts, identify risks, and proactively mitigate them, all in one seamless system. By making contract data actionable and risk insights clear, Oblify helps businesses streamline negotiations, reduce exposure, and make faster, smarter decisions. Oblify tailors its risk insights to each company’s unique context—whether it's company size, sector, or risk appetite—helping legal teams drive collaboration and seize new opportunities across the organization.

4. VoltNet (ContractTech)

VoltNet, is designed with 2 PhD students, to help consumers and SMEs save money by simplifying the complexity of energy contracts. Using a sophisticated AI engine powered by advanced NILM (Non-Intrusive Load Monitoring) algorithms, VoltNet automatically analyzes energy usage patterns and compares energy and gas contracts. This allows users to seamlessly switch to the best plans, optimizing energy consumption and unlocking significant savings.

🤝 A small CTA (with a big heart)

If you’ve built with us in 2025: thank you. Truly!

And if you want to build with us in 2026, whether you’re an organization with a platform challenge, a possible partner (psssttt Nvidia) with infrastructure ambitions, someone who wants to rethink legal tech, or simply someone who feels energy can be smarter…

send me a message. I’m happy to share where we’re heading. And I’d love to hear what you’re struggling with.

Happy end-of-year, and here’s to 2026 that not only speeds up, but is better designed.

— Kevin
